God is Always Working

I wonder how Rahab, the prostitute, has changed as a person after she met God — Was it hard or easy for her?

How did she become different after meeting God?

What came from accepting Him, trusting in Him, and abiding in Him?

I am sure it was not an overnight success and definitely not a one hour beauty transformation that we see on TV.

This week, my friend and I opened our time capsule and we wrote letters to our Future Self from 5 years ago! We had questions that we answered during that season we were in. Throughout the letter, I mentioned fit, working out, tone arms… I was a former gym rat 5 years ago. I still take care of my body and choose to eat more nourishing food, but I didn’t recognize that I was obsessed with my body.

It is only recently with my 3rd pregnancy that I noticed I gave myself time to rest instead of working out, permission to eat more than I normally do, and be ok with a 30 minutes workout.

I have dealt with body dysmorphia and disordered eating for a while. God who restores everything and has stood by me in these times - giving me the resources, ppl who kept me safe, comforting me when I failed again, and loving me when when I failed to accept my body as is.

We don’t see the process of restoration everyday. But when we zoom out and look back, He’s been restoring and making us strong, firm, and steadfast in His name.
